Lutari Island and Lutari Talisman Guide

Lutari Island and Lutari Talisman Guide

What’s a Lutari?
Lutari, originally called a ‘Mok’, is an otter/mink-like Neopet that lives on a ‘mysterious floating island’. Lutari come from Lutari Island (also referred to as Infuso Island), that floats around somewhere in the ocean. Lutari appear to be docile creatures, but have a vicious temperament in the battledome.

The only unreleased Lutari color now is Island, which you can see below.

Lutari Island Paint Brush
The Lutari Island Paint Brush has been released, but it is not activated yet. You can get this Paint Brush like any other Paint Brush: through the Alien Aisha Vending Machine, Random Event, Fruit Machine, and World Challenge Maps. The official name for this line of pets has not been released, but has been rumored to beTropical. We’ll just have to wait and see what the official name is.

Lutari Island Paint Brush
You can see a number of pets painted in this color on the Neopets Mobile page.

Lutari Island
You can get to Lutari Island from the site Explore Map: click the left arrow twice. It’s the island southwest of Altador. The problem is that there’s nothing to click on once you get there.

Lutari Island
These are reports from users of what’s on the island. Some screenshots would really be helpful here, and will be added soon since you can see all of the areas except the quest area from the trailer on the Neopets Mobile web site.

A very special thanks goes to sapphire_tiger_x for providing the official names in this section.

The Wheel of Happiness: Just like the wheels of Excitement, Knowledge, Monotony, and Mediocrity you can spin this wheel to win some prizes. At least one of the spaces gives out the feather needed to use this island’s training school. The wheel can be spun every 30 minutes.

The Island Market: From the shop here you can buy some ‘exclusive’ Lutari Island items. It was possible to get these items before, and the items (like normal items on the site) can be sold in shops and on the trading post. You are banned from the shop after buying three items in a row.

The Bank: This bank is ‘linked up’ with the bank on the Neopets site so your balance, type, and interest will be exactly the same as your Neopian Central bank.

Survival Academy: This training school is simular to the ones on Mystery Island and Krawk Island in the way that they use their own form of currency: feathers. The item is called Lutari Feather, is rarity 101, and can be sold and traded on the main site.

Lutari Feather
Flourescent Pools: This area is simular to the Healing Springs in Faerieland.

Island Gossip: Links to the ‘New Features’ page on the main Neopets site.

Bog of Charity: You can get one free Lutari Island item an hour from here.

Faerie Quests: They are supposedly random. If you have more information about this, please Neomail.

Update: Right when this page was going to be updated this mail came in:

The air faerie in Lutari Island’s name is Brianna. I saw it in issue 17 of the neo magazine..

Thanks roll002.

Please help expand this section if you know anything else about the island’s locations. Screenshots, item names, and general information would be helpful.

Lutari Island Talisman
Lutari Island Talisman
With the release of Neopets Mobile every user received a Lutari Island Talisman on this lookup. Clicking on the Talisman will bring up a close up of your own Talisman, which should be empty like this one:

You fill the Talisman with Lutari Island Beads. There are four colors: RedYellowGreen, and Blue. And there are five shapes: Ranaka, Oranu, Urapa, Tongi, and Matu. It is reported that you can not find Tongi beads on the site randomly (please confirm). You can see the beads down below (hover over for their names).

Red Tongi Bead. Red Ranaka Bead Red Urapa Bead Red Oranu Bead Red Matu Bead
Yellow Tongi Bead. Yellow Ranaka Bead Yellow Urapa Bead Yellow Oranu Bead Yellow Matu Bead
Green Tongi Bead. Green Ranaka Bead Green Urapa Bead Green Oranu Bead Green Matu Bead
Blue Tongi Bead. Blue Ranaka Bead Blue Urapa Bead Blue Oranu Bead Blue Matu Bead
Originally it was thought that you could only get them by referring people to Neopets Mobile, but this is NOT true. Neopets users who do not have the service can get them through random event. The beads are also ‘tradable’, meaning you can buy them from shops, auctions, or on the trading post.

Once you buy a bead you go to your inventory and add the bead in like you’d be using an item. It has been confirmed by several users that you CANNOT remove beads once they’ve been put on your Talisman.

What does the Talisman do?: The official explanation is that it ‘increases luck’ with each bead that you put on it, but it’s exact purpose cannot be determined as of yet. It could work simular to the ‘Space Faerie Lucky Charm’ and increase the chances of a ‘good’ event from happening while browsing the site or playing games.

Update: A few users have written in about the effects of the Talisman. More information is still needed, but they claimed:

– It doubled the Neopoint output for Flash Games (like Space Faerie Lucky Charm)

– It reduced the original asking price for items in restocks. (Discount Card)

– It increased the chance of Random Events/Faerie Quests

– It increased the chance of getting good items from dalies.

All of these need screenshots and confirmation. Thanks.

Question: What does the Talisman do?

Question: Can I use the information from this page on my own site or guide?

Question: How can you get a Lutari?Answer: There are only two ways to get a Lutari: you need to either create one or have one of your pets get changed into one via the lab ray. Lutari are limited edition and like most limited edition pets are released in batches from time to time. When a batch does get released they are not all released at once. Instead, TNT releases about 500 about every thirty minutes to give everyone a chance to get one. There are currently no morphing potions, transmogrification potions, or magical plushies that will turn your pet into a Lutari.

Question: My friend has a Lutari they want to give to me. Can I adopt it through the pound?

Answer: NO. Lutari are unlike any other Neopet that has been released before. A Lutari that is about to be abandoned will get so angry that it’ll actually run away from you rather than go into the pound. When your Lutari ‘runs away’, it will be gone forever, like it never existed. You will never see a Lutari in the pound, even if your friend abandons one for you to pick up.

Question: Can Lutari be painted yet?

Answer: Only in Red, Blue, Yellow, and Green. No other colors have been made for Lutari … yet.

Question: Can I use a Lutari Island Paint Brush yet?

Answer: No. You can buy a Lutari Island Paint Brush, but like the stone and glass Paint Brushes it will do nothing for your pets.

Question: You say that Lutari Island items were available before the island’s release. How was that possible?

Answer: All of the items were around before the island’s release, but their exact origin is unknown. A user said that they won theirs from the Alien Aisha Vending Machine prior.

Question: Are any of the Lutari Island Items ‘non-tradable’, like Plot Items?

Answer: So far there hasn’t been a single report of a non-tradable Lutari Island item, so feel free to look for them in auctions and on the trading post if you wish to collect. All of the Lutari Island items are listed in a section above if you need further confirmation.

Question: Do you need to pay to get onto Lutari Island? Will this change?

Answer: You can get to Lutari Island from the main explore map, but you can’t do anything there (yet). For now you do have to sign up for Neopets Mobile to get on Lutari Island, but chances are in the future it will be open for everyone.

Question: Is it true that you can not use Neopets Mobile and the Neopets Site at the same time?

Answer: UPDATE: It is confirmed that you can use Neopets and Neopets Mobile at the same time, but some areas of the main site are restricted until you sign off Neopets Mobile.

Question: I heard there were games for Neopets Mobile. What are they?

Answers: There are reports of two games for Neopets Mobile. One is simular to Turmac Roll on the main side, the other is simular to Tetris Attack/Puzzle League which does not have a counterpart on the site.

Question: What does the Talisman do?

Answer: This question is answered in the Talisman section.

Question: Can I use the information from this page on my own site or guide?

Answer: Sure! This information was made to be shared.=3
