Alongside the introduction of Pet Styles on January 23, 2024, Umbra provided Nostalgic Style items to Neopets that were still in an Unconverted (UC) form at the time of the release. These Nostalgic Style items, colloquially known as “tokens,” were awarded to converted Neopets to preserve their previous appearance in additional colors.

Nostalgic Style items serve as a means to retain the original aesthetics of Unconverted Neopets even after they have been converted. They allow players to apply the nostalgic appearance to their converted pets, providing a sense of continuity and preserving the charm of older Neopets. These items essentially act as a visual representation of the pet’s pre-conversion state, allowing players to maintain a connection to the older version of their Neopets.
