Super sharp and well used. This is the preferred sword for pirate captains around Neopia.

The PCC used to be one of the most popular items from the Hidden Tower. Despite still being available from the HT, the Pirate Captains Cutlass popularity and price has considerably fallen. This is due to the new weapons being released which counter the effect of the PCC!

I was still new at battling when Ghostkersword got retired, so I cannot say I have the same sentiments when comparing this weapon with that…

By itself, it`s solid! You are paying the price difference of this and the Sword of Skardsen for it’s icon types. Sure, the light gets shut out easily, but the air is where it shines. It is less air heavy than Ghostkersword, and mind you, if you are faced with a Triple Turbo Dryer, that is a GOOD thing…

And here we have the best `affordable` weapon.

    One Player: 7 / 10
Sword of Skardsen is a better choice against almost all opponents, except those that can block Dark. For those opponents, the only other `high-end` options are this and the less reliable Glittery Faerie Dust. Ghostkersword is the upgrade to this, but costs more than two of these (and is only getting more expensive).

    Two Player: 9 / 10
I`m tempted to give this a ten, but I`m not sure if it warrants it. The only defenses to this are Pteris (common due to this and Ghostkersword) and Shield of Soaring/Ring of Weightlessness/Jhudoras Wand. In each case there isn`t really a suitable alternative that would necessarily be better in place of this, except for perhaps Glittery Faerie Dust. This also stacks nicely with Wand of Reality. It`s also worth considering the comparability of this to Ghostkersword: in the case of the Dryer and Shield/Ring, this comes out ahead, while in general and against Pteris the Sword takes the lead. (I think the Sword is better against the Wand, but the math there confuses me.)

    Final Score: 9 / 10
An incredible weapon with a price tag that the majority of battlers will never afford. It`s also arguably better than its `upgrade` the Ghostkersword. The only real alternative is Glittery Faerie Dust, which serves a different strategic use.

This weapon does the same amount of icons as the Sword of Skardsen, yet specializes in air icons instead of dark. This cutlass costs roughly 4-5m more, but the extra np will usually be worth the upgrade in icon types. The icons on this weapon, particularly the air icons, are extremely difficult to block. Not many 1P opponents carry any air blockers/reflectors, and neither do 2P opponents for that matter.

In 1P, you won’t see too much difference between this and the Sword of Skardsen. Both will sometimes be partially blocked, but rarely will you face an opponent which can fully block them. In 2P, there will be a dramatic difference. Unlike dark icons, there really isn’t any practical weapon that can defend against air, so many battlers don’t have adequate air defense in their sets.

Although not as great as the Ghostkersword it replaced in the Hidden Tower, this is still a great weapon.

    Downgrade/Alternative: Sword of Skardsen
    Upgrade+: Ghostkersword

  4. Elise Kozler

Power (3/4) Around 18 average offensive icons.

Price (1/2) Fairle priced at more than the similar Sword of Skardsen, but not excessively so.

Tactical (3/3) This is where the PCC cleans up. It cannot be beat by any single cheaper multiuse weapon, opponents have to either spend to match or plan against weapon combos.

Another Angle (1/1) This weapon pretty much defines \”Pro\” level battling right now, it will be a classic for a long time to come.

Alternatives/Upgrades: Sword of Skardsen deals as many icons, but is easier to block, if you want to be a bit less predictable, Trusty Hand Cannon, or Runed Maractite Bow may be options. The next real upgrade is Ghostkersword

Defenses/Countermeasures: You can match this with a cheaper Sword of Skardsen. Otherwise you have to spend more, but you can try combos involving: Shield of Soaring, Triple Turbo Dryer, Jhudoras Bewitched Ring, Yooyuball Player Sling, Ghostkershield, and/or Combo Battle Mirror to defend parts of it.
